Caroline Shaw Born in North Carolina, Caroline Shaw is a newcomer to New York, where her current projects include accompanying ballet and modern dance and performing as a violinist and singer. After graduating from Rice cum laude as a student of Kathleen Winkler, Caroline spent a year in Europe, writing music and wandering around formal gardens as a Thomas J. Watson Fellow. She returned at last to study at Yale with Syoko Aki, where she recently finished her Masters. Currently she is a visiting fellow at Yale in the Yale Baroque Ensemble under the direction of Robert Mealy. |

Sage Cole A native of Massachusetts, Sage Cole received her BA in music, summa cum laude, from Barnard College, and her MM in violin performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she was the first violinist of the Graduate Fellowship Quartet. She has studied at the Manhattan School of Music, and the Accademia Internazionale della Musica in Milan; her major teachers include Curtis Macomber and David Perry. Sage has been a member of the Madison Symphony, the Madison Ballet, the Madison Opera orchestras, has performed with the Vinca Quartet and is a founding member of the Hudson Quartet and Manchester Summer Chamber Music. Sage completed Suzuki pedagogical studies with Allen Lieb and Ecaterina Gerson at the School for Strings. She lives in New York City, where she is on the faculty at the Lucy Moses School, the Diller-Quaile School of Music, and Silver Music. |

Luke Cissell Luke Cissell was born in Louisville, Kentucky and was a bluegrass fiddling champion at eight years old. He trained with Jeff Guernsey, Sherry Hofmeister and Michael Davis before earning a bachelor's degree at Princeton University and establishing himself in New York City as a musician/composer. The Hudsons premiered Cissell's string quartet Poor Lazarus in March 2010 for New York's North River Music Series (Aaron Copland Fund, Meet The Composer) at the Greenwich House. A sought-after session player, Cissell has accumulated numerous album credits and in December 2009 released his own experimental album, Noise In The Street which garnered praise for its "celestial" (Groovemine) and "daring" (Splice Today) blend of sounds. Cissell is currently on faculty at the Calhoun School. |

Robert Jacobs Born on the Hudson River, in Rockland County, New York, Robert Jacobs has pursued his cello studies at the Manhattan School of Music and Columbia University. An avid chamber music player, Robert is currently a member of the Dutt-Pereira-Jacobs Trio as well as an enthusiastic participant in many small chamber music festivals throughout the year. Robert is also a member of the Park Avenue Symphony and has performed with them in Carnegie Hall and other venues. When not playing the cello, Robert works as a computer programmer in White Plains, New York. |
